Job Description:

.The Donor Relations Manager manages all Development's ticketing, directly handling ticketing with Development's Benefactor and Patrons' Circle members.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the President of Development on various projects as needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with presenting partners.
  • Communicate daily with the President of Development, Development Membership Manager and Membership Coordinator regarding ticket availability updates and changes, potential performance changes, and possible effects on Benefactors, Patrons' Circle members, and Entourage members.
  • Communicate daily with Box Office on releases and holds of the Development Department.
  • Manage Benefactor and Patrons' Circle, phone inquiries, including ticketing issues, questions, and concerns by responding in a timely manner to all problems, concerns, and/or requests.
  • Promptly process on-line ticket requests for Benefactor members and Patrons' Circle members.
  • Manage program and donor contacts using Archtics/Raiser's Edge and create reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with marketing and programming on show e-blasts for performances in Broward Center venues to Benefactor, Patrons' Circle members and Entourage.
  • Maintain and monitor Benefactor and Patrons' Circle lists, mailings, and mail merges as needed.
  • Continually analyze and evaluate operational procedures and policies.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Development and Director of Development in implementing successful campaigns, membership programs and contributor events.

Job Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • ·Knowledge of Archtics/Raiser's Edge management software preferred.
  • ·Able to engage with a wide range of donors and to build relationships.
  •  Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
  •  Strong project management and organization skills.
  •  Able to effectively and efficiently multitask, set priorities, shift priorities, and adapt to changes.
  • Skilled in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management software.
  • Able to exhibit appropriate, professional, and corporate demeanor, considerable tact, and courtesy when interacting with members of the public, the Development Board, and PACA Staff.
  • Able to handle projects and communications of a highly sensitive and confidential nature.
  • Able to use sound judgment in all daily activities.
  • Able to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Able to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, in English.
  • Able to work effectively and positively with others. 

Required Education and Experience

  • BA degree or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 5 years’ experience in development, theater, customer service or marketing preferred.
