Job Description:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Performs general building maintenance; cleans restrooms, empties trash, maintain grounds, cleans closets, cleans storage areas, cleans kitchens, vacuums, perform some heavy cleaning (pressure-cleaning) when necessary, in-house painting (doors, platforms, and pedestal as necessary), change light bulbs as needed,
  • Set-up and Break-down of chairs, tables, and podiums for concerts, films, lectures, special openings, special parties, facility rentals, and other events throughout the week
  • Work with City of Miami Beach maintenance on repairs; process all property management requests in a timely manner
  • Open/Close building as needed
  • Deliveries and Pick-Ups: Post Office, Costco, Publix, etc. Mileage reimbursement is provided
  • Perform related work as required

Job Requirements:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Ability to maintain, clean, and service public buildings
  • Ability to perform a variety of repetitive tasks
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the general public
  • Ability to receive, retain, and execute detailed instructions
  • Ability to operate a computer, projector, and other museum equipment
  • Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Substantial standing, walking, moving, climbing, carrying, bending, kneeling, crawling, reaching, handling, sitting, standing, pushing, and pulling
  • Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
 
WORK SCHEDULE
  • 20-28 hours per week, with potential for more based on event needs
  • Scheduling TBD

  • Commensurate with experience
