Job Description:

South Miami Dade Cultural Arts Center (SMDCAC) is seeking customer service oriented, motivated individuals to assist with ticket selling and other customer service needs in our box office.  The successful candidate must be computer literate and possess excellent customer service skills.  This is a part-time position up to a maximum of 40 hours per week.  The position may be seasonal, with scheduled hours determined by business need.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to: 
  • Providing accurate information to our patrons, processing ticket sales in person and over the phone, and distributing will call at performances or events.
  • Assisting the Box Office Manager and Lead Ticket Seller with reports and other tasks as requested.
  • Balancing all transactions, monies, and receipts, as well as completing any necessary reports at the end of shift.
  • Providing a high level of customer service in all interactions with patrons, promoters, and other departments.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • One or more years’ experience in an entertainment facility, live performance venue, theater, customer service, or sales.
  • Flexibility to work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
  • Bi-lingual ability (Spanish/English) and/or prior Box Office experience is a plus.
