Job Description:

Position Overview:  The Sales Manager is responsible for all outside sales of the PAMM facility rental program. This position is also responsible for pitching, contracting and executing events. He/She will also collaborate with the Director of Special Events and Sales, our Deputy Director for Finance and Operations and exclusive catering contractor in strategic planning and marketing of PAMM as a rental facility.
 
 

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:
·       Minimum 5-7 years sales and marketing experience, as related to special events and/or catering.
·       Ability to work at night and on weekends
·       Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
·       Computer literate (MS Word, Excel; Altru preferred).
·       Experience working on weddings and must enjoy it.
·       Social media experience preferred.
·       Attention to detail, well organized.
·       Excellent interpersonal skills.
·       Familiarity with budgeting and planning.
·       Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced work environment.
·       Appreciation of contemporary art a plus.
·       Excellent verbal and written skills.
·       Bilingual a plus.
·       Must possess diplomatic and creative qualities

Essential Functions included, but are not limited to:
  • Pursue leads and cold call potential renters of the facility.
  • Develop relationships with corporate planners and social/wedding planners.
  • Attend networking events and join networking groups in order to develop new leads.
  • Make sales calls and plan in-house meetings and lunches.
  • Accept inquiries, create proposals, and conduct site visits of the facility in a timely manner.
·       Respond to phone/email inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Contract and prepare financial statements for renters.
  • Execute rental events from start to finish with support from various museum departments.
  • Support the Director of Special Events and Sales in developing annual revenue projections, monitor monthly revenue, and reaching sales goals.
  • Work with Director of Special Events and Sales to audit sales trends.
  • Place orders for rental and audiovisual equipment from vendors (when needed).
·       Assist with marketing and promotions regarding facility rentals.
  • Assist in maintaining PAMM calendar.
  • Coordinate and prepare weekly sales meetings.
  • Assist as needed in large PAMM events (Gala, Corporate Lunch, PAMM Presents, member events, etc.).
 
Physical Demands:
·       Walk, bend, lift (up to 25 pounds) including files, office supplies and electronic equipment
·       Finger dexterity to pick up paper and use computer keyboard
·       Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading
·       Ability to hear in normal tones including telephone and face-to-face conversation
