Piero Atchugarry Gallery is seeking a Full-time Gallery Administrator to begin immediately.
Candidates should be able to think critically, work independently to prioritize tasks,
and should be detail-oriented team-players. Strong applicants will have excellent
communication skills, allowing them to engage with office staff as well as gallery
visitors. In addition to a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to
perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate offers
schedule flexibility for gallery-related events, art fairs, traveling, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Maintain internal artwork inventory databases
● Essential front desk reception tasks such as greet and assist visitors, answer and
redirect phone calls
● Maintain gallery website with regular updates and other 3rd-party sites
● Assist with editing gallery artwork/installation photos using Adobe photoshop
● Liaise with staff, artist studios, fine art shippers, framers, and conservators.
● Liaise with Gallery Manager for coordination of gallery events, exhibitions, and
booking meetings
● Order office stationery and supplies
● Prepare and submit regular reports
● Organize, store and print company documents as needed
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree (required)
● Driver’s License (required); must have a reliable source of transportation
● Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week (schedule to be determined)
● Must have bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required)
● Proficiency in Microsoft Word and G-suite
● Proven experience as an Administrator, Administrative Assistant or relevant role
● Familiarity with office equipment, including printers and scanners
● Knowledge of office policies and procedures
● Excellent organizational and time-management skills
● Strong written and oral communication skills
● Problem-solving attitude with an eye for detail
● Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills
● Familiarity with MailChimp and ArtBinder is a plus
● Proficiency with Adobe suite is a plus
● Knowledge of contemporary art is a plus
● Previous art installation experience and the ability to use power tools, climb ladders is
a plus
Compensation: $15- $20 per hour depending on experience, plus additional performance bonuses and opportunity for future growth within the company.L
