Company Description:

Founded in 1977 by Blanka A. Rosenstiel as a national non-profit organization headquartered in Miami, the Chopin Foundation of the United States aims to help young, talented American artists in their career development, and to make classical music accessible for all.

The flagship program of the Chopin Foundation is the National Chopin Piano Competition, held in Miami every five years, open exclusively to American pianists. In addition to receiving substantial cash prizes, the top winners are sent, all expenses paid, to the prestigious International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland, the oldest music competition in the world. The First Prize Winner also receives a national concert tour arranged by the Foundation.

The Foundation also provides young pianists with performance opportunities, master classes, international exchange programs, scholarships and grants.Councils in San Francisco and Seattle also help the Foundation carry out its mission.

Southern Wine & Spirits of America’s Chopin For All FREE Concert Series is a unique series of classical music concerts presented annually in South Florida at two locations, the Granada Presbyterian Church in Coral Gables and the Broward County Main Library in Fort Lauderdale, that are free and open to the public.
